GIAN LUCA FERRERO
Born in Milan, Italy, Gian Luca FERRERO, has spent his childhood and youth in Ethiopia, then an Italian colony. This is where he received his first artistic training: for 4 years he studied drawing and practiced oil painting with a very renowned Italian painter, Mr Vezzoni, then also residing in Ethiopia.
At 18 years old he returned to Italy to study at the Universities of Milan and Padova, and completed his artistic training in various academies.
With a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, he spends his entire Engineer career with the European Commission, in research first, in several nuclear Centers inEurope, to subsequently switch to the EU Renewable Energies development programs.
He lived in Italy,France, Holland and finally has settled down in Belgium for the last thirty five years, whilst touring the world for his various tasks.
Simultaneously, he developed his artistic skills and had some successful exhibitions in each country.
After the early years of abstract-surrealistic modeling, both on canvas and in sculpture, Gian Luca FERRERO, has evolved towards a more figurative painting which is reflected in a refined observation and interpretation of romantic gardens, subtle bouquets, Italian villages, coloured landscapes or interiors, each with its own specific atmosphere.
His paintings, always of extreme precision, witness the harmonious integration in his life environment, and express his deepest nature in a very emotional way.
